Blanchard’s Lodge was a homestead that accepted guests for eating and drinking, but also had a bed or two available for travelers looking for a rest before journeying up Boulder Canyon to Nederland and mining towns closer to the Continental Divide. Short-term boarding houses were forerunners to today’s Bed & Breakfasts. Later, automotive tourism changed America. Blanchard’s Lodge was reborn in 1927 as the Red Lion Inn, with its quant drive-up cabins and enlarged restaurant. For decades the Red Lion was destination for both locals and savvy travelers who knew of its food and Boulder Creek access. Now, this bit of living Colorado history is fresh from an impressive renovation/modernization — making it a gracious 21st century event center, ready for your guests from across the globe. Visitors are treated to a mini-adventure exploring the well maintained grounds along Boulder Creek. Sun creeps in around canyon walls while cottonwood trees offer shade. The bluegrass lawn stays perfect while Colorado sun scorches many other front range lawns. The Wedgewood hospitality team pampers you with their special brand of event management — taking care of your every need.
Fitting photography smoothly in your wedding day is our speciality, and our partnership with Wedgewood assures we're in the loop with coordination decisions. When things change (like weather) we're problem-solvers who happily capture great images.
On delivery of your photography, you will see 60-110 images per coverage hour, showing the story of a day when two families came together. Images are available for viewing and download three weeks after wedding day (with 48 Hour rush processing available). Family and friends may view the images as often as they like. All may easily order prints, canvases, and albums from the gallery page.
